We have created an "Norton Commander" like application, using ASTA 3.1, that allows for remote files to be transferred from ASTA servers to remote clients very efficiently. Files are transferred in "chunks" with proper progress bars. Remote files can be "Opened" and executed with one click. You can use ASTA Encryption and Compression and include this in your ASTA 3.1 application.
You can download binary demos from the ASTA Downloads Manager. Source code is available for use in your own Applications for $99. Look for future versions using AstaIO and with PocketPC support.
Future add ons will be available with file synchronizatoin (win32 and ppc) options and as a Name Space extension so you can use the normal Windows Explorer so that the files will be seen as part of the operating system. Contact ASTA for more information.
