When you deploy applications to remote Palm Devices, there is always an issue as to how to get updated versions to remote clients. Enter ASTA SkyWire Palm Updater. Now you will always be guaranteed to have the absolutely most current Palm applications since users only need to connect to an ASTA SkyWire server and retrieve the most current version.
The ASTA SkyWire Palm Update consists of 3 pieces:
- AstaLib.prc which provides the communication layer to communicate with the remote server. Compression and Encryption options available.
- AstaUpdater.prc the palm app that shows all the current prc files and their version on the palm device and allows the user to choose which one to update.
- A remote server that can run on Windows or Linux. This demo uses www.astatech.com/AstaIO
