| Title | Tutorial |
![]() AdminClient |
AstaIO servers can log client
requests. Servers should not really have any User Interface so any server log
events can be read in real time by AstaIOAdmin clients. The TAstaIOServerWire
has a LogEvents property that allows control of the events written to the log.
The AdminClient uses a TAstaIOClientLeanWire which is a light messaging version
that doesn't link in db.pas.This client shows activity from remote AstaIO
Servers. |
![]() AfterPost |
Shows a TAstaIOClientTable
with EditMode set to AfterPost |
![]() AllMetaData |
Shows the ability for AstaIO
clients to fetch all MetaData information in one call from a remote
server |
![]() BDEIProvider |
AstaIO supports the IProvider
Interface. This tutorial shows how AstaIO can use AstaIOIProviders in a
manner very similar to MIDAS/DataSnap. |
![]() BookMark |
Bookmark demonstration using
the in-memory TAstaIODataSet. Also shows how to display the actual value of a
bookmark as an Integer. |
![]() CachedUpdates |
Shows the use of Cached
EditMode along with RevertRecord, CancelUpdates and SavePoint. |
![]() DirectoryListing |
Shows how to access a
directory listing on a remote AstaIO server. Server and Clients can be either
Windows or Linux. Uses the AstaIOMetaDataDataSet with the metadata request set
to mdDirectory. View a Screen shot of an AstaIO client (compiled under Delphi 5) connected to an AstaIO Kylix built server running on Linux and showing the /opt/kylx/bin directory. |
